Gillian has researched and sampled the images across the spectrum to represent food, fish, bakery, fresh vegetables and fruit, clothes, household goods, the flower and plant market with the striped awnings and people from all over the world in East London. The names of the markets have been painted around the image to remind us of the amazing diversity in the street markets of Tower Hamlets.
