London Business Matters London Legacy in pictures

Deptford-based artist Gillian Burrows' latest exhibition 'London Legacy' opens at the barbican Library, Silk Street, london EC2Y 8DS (nearest station; Barbican; parking available) Thursday 1st October and runs till 28th October.

Gillian is one of Docklands business club's longest serving and most active members and is well known for her paintings, murals, architectural portraits, corporate designs and cards.

Her favourite subjects feature scenes from the River Thames, east London and city buildings and streets. She works from her studio atTrinity Buoy Wharf where in days gone by lighthouse and light ship keepers were trained and navigation buoys serviced. today it is an active colony of artists, designers and media people.

Visitors can meet Gillian as she paints in the libiary on monday and Saturday lunch times between noon and 2.30 and Tuesday evenings from 5.30 to 7.30.
